tesa 60151 Adhesion Promoter Glass can be used to improve the adhesion of tesa’s pressure-sensitive adhesive tape offering to glass substrates. It is especially recommended for our tesa ACXplus product family. Our highly transparent tesa 60151 Adhesion Promoter is recommended for permanent bonding on glass substrates. Please note that our tesa 60151 Adhesion Promoter is not recommended for lacquered or foil-coated glass. This product can be used to significantly improve the bond-ing strength of tesa ACXplus tapes. Testing shows significantly higher peel adhesion values.

It is especially recommended for our tesa ACXplus product family. It is especially recommended for permanent bonding on glass surfaces but is not suitable for lacquered or foil-coated glass.
• This product can be used to significantly improve the bond-ing strength of tesa ACXplus tapes. Testing shows significantly higher peel adhesion values.
• Surface Preparation: Ensure the bonding surface, i.e. the substrate, should be free of dust, grease, oil, moisture, and other contaminants. Therefore, we highly recommend cleaning the substrate with a lint-free cloth using solvents, such as ethanol or isopropanol alcohol.
• Once the surface has been cleaned, you can go ahead and apply tesa 60151 Adhesion Promoter. We recommend applying our adhesion promoters with a lint-free cloth, brush or sponge. Wet the cloth thoroughly with tesa Adhesion Promoter and wipe once and in a single direction over the surface. Immediately use another lint-free cloth to remove excess adhesion promoter from the surface- a squeaking noise indicates a good layer thickness on most glass types.
• The entire surface should be coated thinly with adhesion promoter in order to reach the highest bonding performance. It is important to wait at least 30 seconds (and a maximum of 5 minutes) in order to give solvents time to evaporate. Please make sure to keep the prepared surface free of contaminants prior to applying the tape.
• Once the substrate has been properly pre-treated with tesa 60151 Adhesion Promoter, the bond should be established within 15 minutes. Please note that due to the multitude of available substrate formulations in the marketplace, it is recommended to test our tesa Adhesion Promoter prior to usage.
• The shelf life of this product amounts to at least 12 months when stored at room tem-perature in its sealed original container.
